Sony Pictures has changed the release schedule of the movie "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" for the fifth time, whose release date was delayed four times due to outbreak. Directed by Andy Serkis, the movie will hit theaters on October 1, earlier than expected.
According to the news of the big screen, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage", the comic book adaptation starring Tom Hardy as the alien symbiote-turned-journalist, was first postponed to 2021 due to the corona virus epidemic, and then to September 24. Although Sony postponed the movie from September 24 to October 15 last month, it decided to make another change and set the final vision date of the movie as January 21, 2022.
Tom Hardy reprises his role as journalist Eddie Brock, with Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris, Reid Scott, Stephen Graham and Peggy Lu also returning to the cast. Woody Harrelson will play serial killer Cletus Kasady in the sequel. Written by Kelly Marcel, the script is based on characters created for Marvel Comics by David Michelinie and Todd McFarlane.
It's crazy how everyone who works on Venom: Let There Be Carnage seems to have “fully understood” the initial material they are working on. After a globally failed first film where the Venom symbiote was far from its dark and creepy comic book violence, many are waiting for the second opus.
This second Venom: Let There Be Carnage, despite the presence of Woody Harrelson as Carnage, a fan favorite villain, does not bode well. The film’s official rating will be PG-13, which means that one shouldn't necessarily find a lot of violence and hemoglobin in these new adventures of Eddie Brock. A member of the special effects team also claimed that Carnage would be far more violent in the film than in the comics, even with this rating.
Andy Serkis director of the feature film, told cVenom: Let There Be Carnage that the film will be a love story. While one could think that he would target the relationship between Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and Anne Weying (Michelle Williams) even if the latter seems to have remade his life in Venom 2, the love story would concern the cohabitation Venom.
